De Grey Rooms Progress

Work continues to progress well on-site at the De Grey rooms for York Conservation Trust.

It’s lovely to see the existing features being restored and remain prominently featured in the restoration of the building.

Pinnacle are currently underway with the conservation of the original 1911 diamond-designed Linoleum Flooring, replacing some of the damaged areas.

Our In-house joiners have completed the delicate task of refurbishing over 40 sashes and Yorkshire Sliding windows, including splice and resin repairs and re-weighting. They are now renovating the original doors and creating a new prominent fanlight above the front entrance door, incorporating the original diamond linoleum entrance flooring design.

The Newey Clock has now been serviced and cleaned and is prominently displayed in one of the main rooms. Working with the Client, the Pinnacle team have created a new access and viewing door for the Clocks weight, which stretches the whole building length!!
