Conservation in Action Summer School

We are delighted to be supporting the Conservation in Action Summer School at the magnificent Wentworth Woodhouse, helping to develop and share vital heritage skills with conservation professionals from across the Commonwealth.

Starting this week, 23 delegates from around the world will take part in an intensive two-week programme, delivered in partnership with The Yorkshire Lime Company, Pinnacle Conservation, Commonwealth Heritage Forum, City & Guilds School of Art, and Wentworth Woodhouse.

Having already completed a week of classroom-based theory in London, the students will now gain invaluable hands-on experience on a live heritage site, learning traditional conservation techniques from experienced practitioners working within the historic built environment.

The practical training programme will cover:

✅ Conservation cleaning
✅ Stone repair techniques
✅ Lime pointing and mortar repairs
✅ Traditional sash window conservation and repair
✅ Best practice approaches to heritage preservation

At Pinnacle Conservation, we are passionate about protecting historic buildings and ensuring traditional skills are passed on to future generations. Wentworth Woodhouse provides the perfect setting for this unique initiative, offering participants the opportunity to work directly on one of the UK’s most significant heritage restoration projects while developing practical conservation skills that can be taken back and applied internationally.
